Metal may survive into the future, but the ways we work with it—and the bodily experience of that work—may not. When the present becomes history, who will tell its story, and how will it be understood?

SUPER SAFE offers a record in advance, preserving firsthand accounts before the present is shaped by future narratives. It transforms “Safety First” from a workplace rule into a curatorial question explored through labor and preservation.

Labor shapes metal, but also leaves its mark on bodies, time, and environments. The exhibition asks whose experiences are remembered when a city records its industrial achievements. Meanwhile, “SAFE” also evokes a vault: during the exhibition, Penglai B3 Warehouse becomes a Steel Safe preserving Kaohsiung’s techniques, materials, and lived experiences in 2026 as clues for future generations.

Industrial, social, recreational, and personal histories meet here. The artworks are both contemporary creations and evidence that may one day be reinterpreted—or misinterpreted. They document makers, working methods, experimentation, collaboration, and ideas about reuse and material survival.

Visitors enter as readers from the future, witnessing not only what metal can become, but how people today choose to leave their own testimony.
